Romanian club is completing the work related to the launch of the school radio. The equipment needed for this purpose is already in the school and will be installed next week.

This is another of the outcomes of the Become ECOnfident project. A significant part of our work was to create a situation in which the clubs continue to operate after the project's completion. As evident, the clubs are still implementing their ideas and will continue to carry out activities. We look forward to further information about the Romanian club's school radio node.

 Žuvinto Biosphere Reserve is a nature hotspot in Lithuania, set up in 2002 by combining the Žuvintas Nature Reserve with some nearby protected areas.

It's a big deal internationally too because it's recognized under the Ramsar Convention, which is all about protecting wetlands. Specifically, Žuvintas Marsh is one of the stars of the show there.

Also, for bird lovers out there, Žuvinto, Žaltytis, and Amalvas Marshes, covering about 14,199 hectares, are a big deal for bird protection, and their borders match up with Žuvinto Biosphere Reserve.

A 2-day camp at the Žuvinto Biosphere Reserve, organized by the school's social educator Indrė, to celebrate Climate Change Week. The camp includes members of the Lithuanian Eco-Club and Student Council. Environmental education is one of the school's key educational focuses! Students learned about the activities of the reserve, explored a fantastic exhibition, participated in green education, tasted herbal tea, played team-building games, tried out the debating method, observed birds and nature.

It was important action in frames of our Become ECOnfident project.

 On November 13-15, 2023, we organized eveluation meeting of our project.

During the meeting, partners from Poland, Lithuania and Romania discussed:

-at what level we managed to implement the planned activities
-how the school ecological clubs we have established currently operate
-how young people from our local communities were involved in the activities
-how we evaluate communication in our partnership throughout the duration of the project
-what activities will we carry out to strengthen visibility and disseminate results by the end of 2023
-how we will use the results of our project in our everyday work

During the meeting, we were also working on a publication that will include a description of all steps in our project, its results, our opinions and opinions of our partners.
The project is implemented in frames of the European Erasmus+ programme, Key Action 2, sector 'Youth'.

 Another meeting of the Lithuanian EcoClub. On October 13, members of the Lithuanian Eco-Club held a local Eco-debate.

It was part of the action to share the experience of club members who, in the summer, took part in an international meeting of Eco-clubs from Poland, Lithuania and Romania.

 Thanks to the creation of clubs during the Become ECOnfident project, we can, together with our partners, engage club members in other attractive local and international activities.

A good example is the youth exchange entitled "Mental health", which took place at the end of September in the Romanian town of Brebu.

Together with our partner from Romania, we decided to involve several Polish and Romanian club members who are actively involved in the Become ECOnfident project. Thanks to this, the opportunities created for young people during the Become ECOnfident project will be maintained and developed also after the end of the project.

 The September task of the Romanian Eco-Club was to organize a debate at the local school based on the experiences from our international meeting in Poland.

On September 26th, we received information from our Romanian partner about the completed activity and a photo gallery from the event.

We are pleased that the experiences gained by the youth during our international meeting are now being utilized in the local club and school's activities.

 Educational meeting in Lithuanian club. The school year has started, so our clubs have resumed their activities.

We have already received a report on the activities of the Lithuanian club. This time, the club members met Mrs. Kristina Čeponiene, a naturalist from the 'Žuvinto biosferos' reserve. She talked to the club members about the reserve's activities, the protection of endangered bird species, and the importance of our collective responsibility for nature conservation.

The most fun and exciting part of the meeting was an educational game in which participants were transported to a small replica of the reserve. Club members traveled through the reserve, getting to know its corners, animals, and birds. Meeting took place on 19.09.2023.

It's also worth noting that new students have joined the club. The activities were supervised by the club coordinator, Indrė Apuokienė.

 Another presentation at Polish school. On 12th of September, Weronika Wilk, a participant of our summer international meeting in frames of the Become ECOnfident project, presented its results to her classmates.

 Polish participants of our international ecoclubs meeting conducted a local presentation of the meeting's results for other Polish club members and for students of the J. Słowacki Primary School in Małochwiej Duży.

The presentation took place on 6th of September. Kasia Ciepałowicz, a participant of the international meeting in Motycz Leśny, presented its outcomes to classes 5 and 6. In total, 30 students participated in the presentations. Ela Ciepałowicz conducted presentations in classes 7 and 8, with 20 students in attendance.

We are pleased that thanks to the Polish club members, such a large group of young people learned about the activities within the Become ECOnfident project. Ela and Kasia, thank you for your activity, good job! We would like to thank for the coordination of the presentation to club supervisor - Renata Lewandowska and Rafał Lamorski from J. Słowacki Primary School in Małochwiej Duży.

   On 15th of August, a meeting took place on the ZOOM platform, attended by representatives of the HEureka Generator association (Andrzej Smyk), the Evolution association (Razvan Rotariu), and the Tavo Europa association (Donatas Verseckas).

During the summer break when our clubs do not meet locally, we were able to discuss the ongoing collaboration in the Become ECOnfident project and summarize the recently concluded international meeting of Eco-Clubs, which took place in Poland.

An important part of our ZOOM meeting was also setting the autumn deadlines related to the activities of the clubs and planning an evaluation meeting in Poland. We scheduled it for mid-November 2023.

This was a significant meeting for us, during which the exchange of experiences ensured the continuation of our collaboration at the appropriate level in the final phase of the Become ECOnfident.

 ...And the international meeting of young people, youth workers and teachers as part of the Become ECOnfident project is behind us.

Kasia, Ela, Ola, Monika, Weronika, Brigite, Lukas, Gabrielė, Kotryna, Yevhen, Maya, Adelina, Ana-Maria, Teo, Izabela - thank you for your active participation in our meeting. Indre, Ana-Bela, thank you for leading the group together.

Now we return to local activities in our project. We will advertise the results of our meeting in Poland and continue to develop the activities of our extracurricular environmental clubs.

Another EcoTrip behind us. This time we went to the ‘Land of Camomile’ in Hołowno and the Municipal Public Library in Podedwórze.

Participants of the international meeting of young people, teachers and youth workers took part in:
- natural soap making workshop
- eco-print workshops
- ecological orienteering game
- ecological quiz

We would like to thank Mrs. Diana Hetman and Mrs. Agnieszka Juchno from our partner Municipal Public Library in Podedwórze for their cooperation in organizing today's adventures.

 Today during the eco-workshop we talked about:
-how much man-made waste decomposes after it is thrown away
-What we can do with used items during handmade workshops
After the talks, we used empty plastic bottles to create our 'Eco works of art'.

 On 14th of July, participants of the Become ECOnfident project visited the Regional Waste Management Plant in Dębowiec near Zamość.

During the meeting, young people from Polish, Romanian and Lithuanian Eco-clubs could see with their own eyes what the recycling process looks like from the moment containers with waste arrive at the plant.
We saw how employees, machines and computers deal with segregation and recovery of parts from waste that can be reused.
Thanks to the courtesy of the employees, we also visited the management center, where we could see all the work on the monitors and from where you can communicate with all parts of the plant.

At the end, we could ask questions and learn more about the topics that interested us the most.
At the end our group received gifts from our hosts.

We would like to thank Mr. Paweł Bratkowski for a warm welcome and showing us around the plant.
It was a valuable ecological lesson for us, which we will use during the next days of the international meeting as part of our Become ECOnfident project.

 During the last local meeting of the Lithuanian eco-club, there were many discussions about a healthy diet, the harmful effects of sugar on our body, and eating disorders.

As part of the club's activities, its members are preparing a 3D stand to increase awareness of how much sugar is contained in unhealthy snacks. We want to educate our closest community in this regard. In addition, the students, Brigita and Paula, shared their experience from their visit to Poland. Club members were involved in the decision-making process regarding our international meeting of club members, which will take place in July in Motycz Leśny near Lublin.

These were very intense days that will soon result in high-quality local and international activities with young people 💡

 On 25th of April another meeting of the afterschool club as part of the Become ECOnfident project was held.

Students from J. Słowacki Primary School in Małochwiej Duży took part in an elementary training for volunteers.

During the training, club members learned about the following topics:

- Volunteering in Europe and the rest of the world
- Definitions used. What is volunteering, who is a volunteer?
- How do school volunteer clubs work?
- Who can and who cannot volunteer?
- Duties and rights of a volunteer
- Volunteer motivation system
- Eco-Volunteering

The training was conducted by Krystyna Rybińska-Smyk, vice-president of the Zamojskie Voluntary Service Center.

We would like to thank the carer of the club, Ms. Renata Lewandowska, for her cooperation in organizing the meeting and for a nice additional meeting with the school headmaster, Andrzej Jasionowski.

 

Ecological workshops and preparations for the conference. On 20th of April, members of the Marijampoles sav. Mokolų progimnazija built a house for beetles.

They were also preparing for an international ecological conference, in which the school will soon take part.

In addition, a date for the next club meeting has been set. Members will meet on 24th of April. We are already excitingly waiting for a report on the club's participation in the ecological conference.

 During the club meeting on 6th of April, the students learned what the meeting in Poland will look like based on the conclusions of the leaders' meeting on the ZOOM platform.

Club members also worked on developing examples of recycling at school and at home.

 On April 5th, another working meeting of the Become ECOnfident project partners took place. This time, the meeting was attended by: Razvan Rotariu (Romania), Indrė Apuokienė (Lithuania), and Andrzej Smyk (Poland).

During the meeting, we discussed the recent local meetings of school clubs and the youth's ideas for their further development.

We also set the date for an online meeting, which will involve students from all three clubs. The meeting will take place on April 25th at 11:50 AM on the Zoom platform.

The dates for our international working meeting are already confirmed. It will take place from May 31st to June 2nd, 2023, in the Lublin Region. During the meeting, we will visit the center where the international youth meeting will later take place, we will also visit the J. Słowacki Primary School in Małochwiej Duży, and discuss the division of responsibilities and the logistics of the youth exchange.

The exchange itself will take place in July. During today's Zoom meeting, we set the date: July 18th-26th, 2023.
